Analysis

I asked two questions: 'What's your favourite thriller and why?' these questions will help me during my research and planning of my thriller opening..

I asked: Harry Sandall, Conor Durrant, Kuziva Mutisi, Kyle Able and myself.

Harry said to me "I like the film psycho, the original, it is a benchmark film for the thriller genre". This it tells me I need to look at psycho and what conventions it follows. Pysco also uses graphic matches, this might me something I should include in my opening.

When we filmed our Vox Pop we had to think about many different things such as the location, people, editing and the questions being asked. These are all important factors because you need to have the right location because this gives the viewer the type of people you are interviewing for example if you was doing it in a busy shopping centre the people would predominately be women, and also if gives off an impression to the viewer. If it’s behind a landmark you would assume the landmark would be in connection with the questions being asked. The people we asked were important as well because they had to be willing enough to answer the questions and have suitable answer. And the questions being asked had to be informative towards us to help us progress in marketing the correct thriller and the most affect thriller. The question we asked was what was your favourite thriller and why? We choose this because the people would be able to explain in as much detail as they wanted and we could analysis their favourite thrillers and use the as a bench mark to advancing ours
